Project Objective

Me&You is a nonprofit organization based in the Washington Metropolitan Area that supports underprivileged children and individuals experiencing homelessness. The organization required a complete rebrand and new apparel designs to better represent its mission and connect with its community.

The rebranding process involved close collaboration with the client, focusing on logo development and a variety of apparel concepts, as merchandise sales serve as a major source of revenue for the organization.

Additional deliverables included the design of branded products such as mugs, stationery, buttons, and bags to help increase brand recognition and promote the organization’s cause.

The logo was developed in the shape of District of Columbia while maintaining the outline of a woman holding a child. All the other apparel and product designs were developed individually but some designs retain similarities to the rebrand. Approval from the client was needed for every process and design.

The Process

Project Process

  1. Discovery & Research
Began with in-depth discussions with the client to understand Me&You’s mission, target audience, and fundraising model. Conducted research on nonprofit branding trends and apparel-based fundraising strategies to establish a clear creative direction for the rebrand.

  2. Strategy & Concept Development
Defined the visual strategy and tone of the rebrand, focusing on creating an identity that reflected compassion, community, and empowerment. Developed multiple logo concepts and mood boards that explored typography, color, and visual elements aligned with the organization’s values.

  3. Design Execution
Created a new logo and a series of apparel designs that balanced visual appeal with message clarity. Designed various branded products, including mugs, stationery, buttons, and bags, to enhance the organization’s visibility and support fundraising efforts.

  4. Review & Refinement
Presented design concepts to the client and gathered feedback through iterative review sessions. Refined each element to ensure brand consistency and marketability across all product lines.

  5. Finalization & Delivery
Delivered the final logo package, apparel designs, and branded product assets in both print and digital formats. Provided guidance on brand usage and merchandise production to maintain a cohesive identity across future campaigns and materials.

Result / Reflection

The entire rebranding process took approximately six months to complete. The debut of the new brand generated great excitement, and the client was extremely pleased with both the final deliverables and the new logo. The rebrand significantly increased brand awareness, leading to record-high merchandise sales that continue to grow.

Discussions are ongoing regarding additional apparel and product designs. Several unused design concepts from the rebrand remain available and could be developed into future merchandise.
